Design Concepts research specialist speaks at WLA conference
Leah Ujda, a research specialist with product design and innovation firm Design Concepts, will be part of a panel at the Wisconsin Library Association’s (WLA) Annual Conference. The WLA engages, inspires and advocates for library workers and supporters to improve and promote library services for the people of Wisconsin.
The WLA Annual Meeting will be held Nov. 4-7 in Wisconsin Dells. Ujda will join Jessica Hutchings, learning technology consultant for UW-Milwaukee, and Erin Hoag, local treasures manager for the Madison Children’s Museum to discuss non-traditional work settings for librarians. The panel, entitled, “Transform Your Career,” will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5. During the session, Ujda and her colleagues will share what they do, why they were attracted to their work and how their skills as librarians are assets in these positions.
Ujda has a master’s degree in library and information studies from UW-Madison. Prior to joining Design Concepts, Ujda worked at The Art Institute of Chicago and UW-Madison.
