I manage the Sales and Marketing activities at Design Concepts and help clients match their development needs with our staff expertise. From the beginning of the initial needs analysis through the phases of the development process we work hard to position our clients to make great decisions.

My career includes technical sales and marketing positions with wholesale distribution and OEM organizations serving the construction, industrial, marine and aerospace industries.

Passion
Professionally I love the collaborative learning that true business partnerships can create. Finding innovative solutions that provide meaningful opportunities to differentiate for our clients is the most rewarding part of my job.

Play
I love golf and completely enjoy cycling and willingly give either one or both up to be with my grandchildren.

What is your first memory of design thinking?
Design thinking comes so naturally to the management and staff of Design Concepts that it just seemed like a better way of describing how we work. I didn’t realize what a paradigm shift and opportunity it was for many client organizations until the day a senior executive said in a client meeting “We need to think less like managers and more like designers” or we will never truly innovate. What he was referring to was the critical need to embrace stimulus from understanding user needs and global trends, as well as knowing his own industry and organization.
