Design Concepts’ staff, families and friends are joined together and took to the road to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. For the second year, the Design Concepts’ team rode The Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour July 18 and 19, 2009. The two-day cycling event takes riders along the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline covering 150 miles from Mequon to Sturgeon Bay, WI.
The Design Concepts team included ten enthusiastic riders and a multitude of family and friends providing support and encouragement along the way.
“We had a wonderful time riding last years’ event, and I am thrilled that our team keeps growing,” declared Rainer Schnabel, Design Concepts’ director of new product development and team organizer. “Anytime you share an experience like the Scenic Shore Bike Tour there’s an element of bonding that is hard to find anywhere else. It’s a healthy way to pull together a group of people for a great cause, raise some money, and have a great deal of fun.”
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is dedicated to finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and improving the quality of life of patients and their families.
