SERENA WINS AUSTRALIAN OPEN WITH NEW nCODE RACKET
[CHICAGO]- Serena Williams captured her seventh Grand Slam
using the new Wilson n3 nCode racket, which she switched to
just before playing in the Australian Open. The final round
was not only a showdown between Williams and Lindsay Davenport
but also a showcase of nCode "potential unlocked" as both players
converted to new Wilson nCode rackets, Davenport using the new nTour
racket that Wilson just launched.
Williams playing with the n3 marks another major step forward for
the nCode line of rackets that Wilson launched in 2004.
Beyond the more than 60 top tour professionals who are now playing
nCode rackets, Serena's n3 is the first frame on tour that incorporates
the nCode process with volcanic geometry and the new triad technology.
Although not winning the title, Lindsay turned a lot of heads with the
debut of Wilson's new nTour 95 frame that she also switched to prior to
the Australian Open. New Wilson nCode rackets were also spotted in the
hands of California twins Bob and Mike Bryan. The Bryan brothers were
the men's doubles finalists for the second consecutive year at the
Australian Open, but are looking forward to Grand Slam titles later this
year now that they have been nCoded with new nPro rackets from Wilson.
Wilson's nCode rackets feature an exclusive nano-technology process in
which nano-sized silicon dioxide crystals permeate the voids between carbon
fiber reinforcing the molecular structure of the frame. The nCode technology
offers increased strength and playability and has been Wilson's most
comprehensive racket launch in years. The new nCode rackets that debuted
at the Australian Open are now available at tennis stores throughout the U.S.
