DCI Adds Concept Modeler to its Toolkit.
There's a new tool in our kit - a tool that gives our ideas shape and form. Design Concepts has added a Stratasys Prodigy Plus concept modeler to our overall design capabilities. The concept modeler is a powerful verification tool that gives Design Concepts' designers and engineers the opportunity to examine and evaluate product designs throughout the development process.

Powered by Insight software, Prodigy Plus builds a 3-dimensional model made of lightweight, rigid ABS plastic. Prodigy uses a fused deposition modeling (FDM) process to create the parts. Using molten plastic, the modeler builds a prototype part layer by layer, from the bottom up. To brace the intricate parts of each piece, Prodigy creates a temporary, soluble support structure that dissolves after immersion into Stratasys' WaterWorks solution.

Design Concepts latest in-house tool is a convenient, quick way to use tangible models to improve the product design process. Depending on the size and complexity of the design, the 8" x 8" x 12" modeler produces a functional prototype part in a matter of minutes to several hours. The verification of three dimensional parts throughout the process will enhance and improve the final outcome for our clients.
