DCI Staff, Colleagues and Clients Join Together for Maddie's Miracle
Throughout the month of August, Design Concepts staff, colleagues and clients joined together to celebrate the life of Maddie Rose Hunter, the daughter of Design Concepts director of information systems Mark Hunter and his wife Robin. The many, many people who participated in the event were inspired by Maddie's joyous life and loving family, and raised vital support for the University of Wisconsin Children's Hospital in her memory.
The fund raising effort culminated with a picnic on August 24, 2006 at Lake Ripley in Cambridge, WI. Days of rain didn't dampen the spirits of all who attended, as the skies cleared for an evening of great food and tremendous fun. Mark and Robin Hunter and their daughter Rhianna thanked all who contributed so generously of both their time and money.
Donations were received from family, friends, clients and coworkers. All donations to Maddie's Miracle were matched by Design Concepts. On September 21, 2006, Mark and Design Concept's senior industrial designer and Maddie's Miracle organizer Ami Verhalen presented a check for $7,387 to Tom Young, UW children's Hospital's community relations manager.
