Design Concepts is pleased to have sponsored the 5th annual, Maddie’s Miracle children’s carnival in support of the American Family Children’s Hospital (AFCH). The family-friendly carnival, complete with plenty of games and prizes was held Friday, August 13th, 2008, from 3 pm – 8 pm at Carriage Hills Park in Sun Prairie, WI.

Each year, Design Concepts’ staff joins together with friends, family, community members, clients and colleagues to honor the memory of Madeline Rose Hunter, daughter of Design Concepts’ director of information services Mark Hunter and his wife Robin. Maddie passed away in August 2005. Maddie’s Miracle children’s carnival reflects Maddie’s joyous life and loving family.

There was plenty of food, and lots of fun, at this year’s Maddie’s Miracle. The day included, carnival games, a visit from the Sun Prairie Police Department K9 Unit, and more. And for the first time, Maddie’s Miracle held a raffle at 7:00 on August 13th to win a new Trek 7.2 FX bicycle.

In just five short years, Maddie’s Miracle, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, has raised over $30,000 for the Hospital’s Family Support Services. AFCH Family Support Program helps families of hospitalized children by providing food, lodging assistance, gas cards, sibling care and much more.
