We’re thrilled to be participating in the 2012 Design MMoCA at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibition challenges area designers to reference a work of art from the Museum’s permanent collection as inspiration for their own installation piece.
Our designers have been working diligently to create an installation for the exhibition which takes place April 26 – May 6, 2012. The team selected E. Roesler Franz, Landscape with Woodgathers as their muse. They’re using the watercolor to demonstrate a product designer’s unique spin on the challenges facing the gatherers portrayed in the painting. It’s a challenge too good for a designer to pass up. And their solution is WUD – a suite of envisioned specialty products aimed at alleviating the burden of the log.
