Here are the responsibilities and requirements for our Senior Electronics Technician role:


Support the electrical engineering department in the creation of prototype electronics assemblies:

  • Conceptual design support
  • Rapid Prototype PCB construction
  • Schematic Capture (Altium preferred)
  • PCB Layout (Altium preferred)
  • Component sourcing and PCB assembly
  • Design and fabricate electromechanical and cable assemblies
  • Soldering wizardry

Support prototype test and evaluation activities

  • Prototype troubleshooting
  • Test plan creation
  • Test setup and fixture creation
  • Test execution and documentation

Maintain PCB layout capabilities

  • Serve as resident printed circuit board layout expert
  • Create and manage electronics parts and sub-circuit libraries
  • Research and recommend PCB design tool upgrades

Electronics lab maintenance

  • Equipment recommendations
  • Equipment calibration record tracking
  • Parts stock inventory acquisition and control
  • Workspace coordination

Manage your time and work with project managers and the Manager of Electrical Engineering to resolve resourcing issues.

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or related field
  • 7+ years of related experience preferred
  • PCB layout experience required (Altium preferred)
  • Soldering and electronic assembly experience required
  • Gravitas, humility and a keen sense of humor
