Maddie's Miracle 2008
On September 23, 2008, Design Concepts, Inc. presented a $12,775 donation to the American Family Children’s Hospital. The donation honors the memory of Madeline Rose Hunter, daughter of Design Concepts’ director of information services Mark Hunter and his wife Robin.
In August, Design Concepts’ staff, clients, friends and family came together for the 3rd annual Maddie’s Miracle. The event, held at Carriage Hills Park in Sun Prairie on August 14th, 2008, celebrated the life of Maddie Hunter with a family-friendly carnival complete with a three-legged race, dunk tank and prizes. The many people who turned out for the event were inspired to honor her life and loving family.
Thanks to the tremendous generosity of all involved, on September 23rd, 2008, Ami Verhalen, director of industrial design, principal and the coordinator of Maddie’s Miracle, joined Mark Hunter in presenting a $12,775 gift to American Family Children’s Hospital. The donation will be used for the Hospital’s Family Support Services. Tom Young, American Family Children’s Hospital's community relations manager, accepted the check on behalf of the Hospital explaining that the donations will help families of hospitalized children by providing food, lodging assistance, gas cards, sibling care and much.
