Nearly 1,200 credit union leaders gathered in Las Vegas, NV to gain ideas, inspiration and innovation at CUNA Mutual's Discovery Conference 2006, June 21-24, 2006. The conference was designed to challenge the thinking of credit union leaders and inspire new ways of to reach members, new products, and new approaches to doing business.
Design Concepts researchers Julie Norvaisas and Stefanie Norvaisas participated in 2 sessions with Filene Research Institute: Innovation: Transform your Credit Union! and
Building an Innovation Culture at you Credit Union.
The conference sessions are an extension of the work being conducted by Design Concepts research group to better understand credit union members. Julie, Stefanie and a team of research specialists are finding the answers to the questions that will determine the future direction of credit unions. Together they are working with industry leaders to clarify why people choose credit unions and what services customers need and want. The finding will be used to create products, services and communications that set credit unions apart from other financial institutions and differentiate their services from their competitors.
As leaders of the DCI research team, Stefanie and Julie apply the methods used traditionally in the social sciences to support the business of innovation. They deliver relevant research findings that contribute to new brand strategies, consumer products and business initiatives worldwide.
