Design Concepts’ principals Stefanie Norvaisas, director of strategy & research, and Ami Verhalen, director of industrial design, lead a PDMA webinar series to introduce design thinking – an approach to innovation that is changing business as usual.

Design Concepts’ interns in industrial design, research and graphic design, concluded their summer internships with an in-depth presentation on the behavior and psychology surrounding decision making. Combining a presentation, question and answer session, information mapping, and fascinating videos made this a dynamic and entertaining learning experience.

Lucas McCann, senior design strategist at Design Concepts, has been selected to present at the 2010 Ethnographic Praxis in Industry Conference (EPIC), Tokyo, Japan, September 1, 2010.

Design Concepts is pleased to have sponsored the 5th annual, Maddie’s Miracle children’s carnival in support of the American Family Children’s Hospital (AFCH). The family-friendly carnival, complete with plenty of games and prizes was held Friday, August 13th, 2008, from 3 pm – 8 pm at Carriage Hills Park in Sun Prairie, WI.

Several Design Concepts’ staff members rode on the Cadence Keepers team in the Best Dam Bike Ride, August 7 – 8, 2010. Cyclists rode 75-miles each day of the two-day event raising funds for the Wisconsin Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

It was hot, humid and rained on Sunday, but that didn’t dampen the enthusiasm or the commitment of the riders. The 17-member Cadence Keepers team raised an amazing $8,000 in support of a great cause.
